Second Cup Pincusion

Image
I saved this little hot chocolate tin from hitting the garbage, and thought hmm, what can I make with this... with my trusty glue-gun, crochet hook, material, gold and red spray paint... voila, a pincusion. The lid protects kids and doggies from getting hurt, and your needles are hidden.

Antique Silver Spoon Pincushion

Image
Creative Stitches came to Edmonton, and I bought a kit and took a class to create this "antique" pincushion.  Although I had tons of fun and bought another kit for some reason, though it's a bit too frou-frooey for me.

No Sew Fleece Pillow

Image
I sooo had to try this and am pretty impressed with the results! Now what the heck should I use the rest of my black and blue fleece for?? Any suggestions? Please, no more pillows! My patience wore thin tying one after the other, and keeping Duncan away from it.

Crocheted Book Thong

Image
Crocheted book thong for my swap partner in my group, Creative Korner. I made a couple of these and will probably make more and see if the gals at work are interested in buying them. The soft cotton would make really nice lanyards as well.

First Pair of Knit Slippers

Image
Ok, so slippers are a big deal in my family. Grandma must have knit over 100 pairs in the 1970s and they're still going strong. Thought I would show Grandma that I can do it too, if she's looking down on me.  Uhm, don't tell her that one foot is slightly bigger than the other and needs frogging... I will deal with that later.  I need non-stick stuff for the bottoms so I don't fall on my face. My first pair.  Instructions from Aunt Maggie's Slippers. http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/maggieslippers.html
