Bernat Camoflauge Neckwarmer (knit)

Image
Warm temperatures melted these beauties,  and I no longer need to carry extra kleenex on my nature walks.  Buds are developing on the trees, and the ice and snow on the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton is receding.  This is a super easy pattern for beginner knitters.  It knits up quickly, and doesn't mess your hair when pulled over your head.   http://www.favecrafts.com/Knitting/Easy-Neckwarmer-Knitting-Pattern

Rummage sale finds

Image
The weather in Edmonton is absolutely gorgeous today at 22 C. The view of the happenings from the window at work is dynamic and exciting. The streets are alive with cyclists, roaring and otherwise, strollers, tank tops, short and smiles, and the heavy thumping of stereo bases can be heard from our floor. And I’m working again today, *sigh*. At least the protective coating on the windows blocks UV rays! At lunch we brushed past the hot dog vendor, sandwich shop and coffee house, on our way to the rummage sale at the church across the street. The basement was full of neatly categorized books, which was a blessing because we only have half an hour for lunch. Great finds too!

Get out of Your Own Way. Reconnect with your Passions again. I did!

I plan on writing more about how The Passion Test, meeting Janet Attwood at her conference, the making of my vision board, and support from a great mentor and friend helped wake me up from my slumber.  Life is worth living when you are doing things you love ~ your "Passions".  Everyone has them.  You have always had them, but daily life and the necessity of work and caring for others get in the way.  I really believe in this book.  Janet Attwood signed my copy, and I would love for you to click on the link and take the Passion Test for yourself.  If you are not happy with your life, this book will help wake you up and put "wheels" on your passions. Please take your free Passion Test Profile.  Are you aligning your life with things that matter most to you? http://www.thepassiontest.com/TPT/TheBook/index.cfm?af=51044

Rozetti Cocoon Scarves

Image
Knit scarves using Rozetti Cocoon yarn.  I made three for coworkers this winter.  They were a bit difficult to cast on but I found that needle size is most important.  Wow, once I got going, they knit up so fast and were so soft.  Can you imagine a whole blanket made out of this yarn?  Like sleeping in the clouds!  They really look like cocoons!  A sample of another washer necklace I made is on top of my "piano scarf".

Randomness

Some sample pics of my Rozetti cocoon scarf, lacy knit bookmark, yes a pickled bum, and a sure sign that Spring is on it's way, at Michael's at least.  I am so in love with my birdie tea light!
